ARCHERY TEAM
Conroe High JROTC's Archery Team participates under the National Archery in School Program (NASP).
NASP is an activity that doesn’t discriminate based on popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability.
It’s a different kind of team sport, open to any student, and supported primarily by professional educators.
Teams come together around one thing: Archery.
The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school initiative aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 9th grade through 12th grade. Through participation, students are learn focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and other life lessons necessary to be successful both in the classroom and beyond.

UNARMED DRILL TEAM
The Unarmed Drill Team, more commonly known as the backbone of the program, everyone starts here and everyone learns the skills necessary to participate in these competitions. Following Training Circular 3-21.5, the participating cadets are tested on their discipline and ability to follow direct instruction under pressure. At the higher levels, cadets are taught to lead and motivate others. Being physically fit is important in this team as cadets who participate in these drill events are tested on their discipline, character, and ability to keep calm under pressure

ARMED DRILL TEAM
The Armed Drill Team performs at local drill meets carrying drill rifles. They compete in regulation drill, which involves basic drill movements, such as the 15 count manual arms. At the higher levels cadets can perform exhibition routines in which the team can be more creative and show off their skill and finesse with their rifles through a variety of spins and tosses. Being physically fit is important in this team as cadets who participate in these drill events are tested on their discipline, character, and ability to keep calm under pressure.

Female Color Guard
COLOR GUARD
Color Guard members are held to the highest standards of discipline and leadership.
The organizational Color Guard is used to open and close ceremonies across the county.
Competition Color Guards present specific regulations during participating battalion competitions.
The Conroe Army JROTC Organizational Color Guard can be requested at formal events, presenting and retiring the colors.

PT TEAM
ABOUT PT
Physical training is a key component to the JROTC program. It constitutes 20 percent of corps activities and allows students to improve their health and wellness. The PT Team competes at competitions and events by doing relay races, push-ups, sit-ups, Etc.

Our Battalion's Rifle Team is composed of trained cadets who fire air rifles with perfect precision, along
with strict training, and incredibly high discipline required to handle the weapons.

SPIRIT FLAG TEAM
The Conroe High School Spirit Flag Team is a dedicated section of JROTC that requires hard work, teamwork, and commitment from all of its members. The team brings energy and excitement to football games by carrying the Conroe spirit flags and running across the field whenever our football team scores. Being part of Spirit Flag takes confidence, discipline, and dedication, especially when performing in front of the entire school and community. Although the team can be challenging and pushes its members to their limits, it is also a rewarding experience that allows us to represent Conroe High School, support our football team, and bring up our school spirit.
